These weapons are designed to do large damage in a small confined area, the tungsten particles that they contain along with the carbon fiber casing allow for shorter shrapnel carry distance and size. However those caught in the blast area are pretty much pelted with a fine tungsten sand that at high speeds is able to literally tear flesh from bone, or amputate limbs. Gilbert says Gaza is “truly a scene from Dante’s Inferno”… Medics and human rights groups are also reporting that they are seeing injuries distinctive of another controversial weapon, Dense Inert Metal Explosive, known as DIME, that was designed by the US Air Force in 2006. Those struck by the weapon who survive suffer severe mutilations and internal injuries.
