Since December 17th, 2010, the peoples of the Arab world have been re-writing their history with their blood and tears. After the dignity revolution in Tunisia, the flame was passed to Tahrir Square in Cairo and it became their turn to show the way to the other peoples of the region. The call to freedom and social justice hasn’t stopped spreading. Today, from Yemen to Morocco, from Algeria, Bahrain, Oman, Syria and Libya to Palestine, people are calling for “‘the fall of the regime”, or at least its reform. These regimes have been synonymous with repression, corruption and collaboration with imperialism and Zionism for many decades.
The peoples of the Arab world, for so long crushed by totalitarian regimes, are rising today as one person to take back their future. And here in Montreal, members of communities from these regions, progressive Quebeckers and Canadians, support the revolutions of the Arab world.
For this reason, the ad hoc Committee to support the revolutions of the Arab world (bringing together many groups and individuals) invites you all to come out in great numbers and participate in its solidarity march in Montreal
co-organizers: Support committee for social struggles in Tunisia; Montreal support collective for the 20 February movement in Morocco, Canadian Egyptians for democracy, Canadian-Palestinian Foundation, Algerian Collective, Tadamon!, SPHR, members of the Syrian community including the Canadian Committee of the Declaration of Damascus and other independent members.
vive le monde arabe au pluriel.vive la Palestine.
