Amplifying Lebanon’s Struggles for Social Justice….
In May 2006, Tadamon! launched a monthly 1 hour radio program on CKUT 90.3fm, which broadcasts in Montreal the 1st Tuesday of each month between 5 & 6pm local time & is uploaded to the Internet for rebroadcast on community / public broadcasters throughout Canada, Lebanon & the world.
Radio TADAMON! will address the historical & contemporary political situation in Lebanon at a time when the country & the entire region is undergoing momentous political change. Political struggles for social justice in Lebanon & Montreal will be highlighted through interviews, documentaries, audio collage & reports that emphasize voices that go unheard in the corporate or state-run media….
Radio TADAMON! aims to highlight the political, social & cultural work of grassroots movements in Lebanon involved in projects, campaigns & organizing in support of social and economic justice, equality and human rights for ALL people living in Lebanon.
During the summer of 2006, members of Tadamon! Montreal will be travelling to Lebanon as part of an international solidarity delegation. Arriving in Beirut in June 2006, the delegation will focus on developing connections of cooperation & solidarity between grassroots political organizing & independent media networks in Beirut and Montreal….
As part of this delegation, Tadamon! will be producing it’s monthly radio program from Lebanon for broadcast in Montreal, Lebanon & throughout the world, in collaboration with member stations of the National Campus Community Radio Association of Canada & Free Speech Radio News [FSRN].

of 2005, this documentary focuses on the present day political, economic & social situation facing the Palestinian residents of the camp, within the context of ongoing major political changes taking place in Lebanon.

Listen to an interview with Ahmed Abdel Majeed, a stateless Palestinian born and raised in Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp in southern Lebanon, who was deported from Montreal Canada in November 2003. In Montreal Ahmed was an active member of the Coalition Against the Deportation of Palestinian Refugees, a group of Palestinians in Montreal organizing against deportation by Canadian immigration authorities.
